Study of one French literary text representative of 19th century prose and a selection of 20th century poetry (offered in even-numbered years). Study of one French literary text representative of 18th century prose and a selection of 19th century poetry (offered in odd-numbered years).
Learning Objectives:
- to make students aware of literary movements, genres, themes and critical theories through close analysis of a sample of French novels, short stories, tales, plays and poetic works.
Assessment by assignments and/or class tests.
