An introduction to accounting concepts, accounting practice and the practice of using accounting information for internal and external decision-making. This subject emphasises both the basics of accounting information preparation and the use of accounting to assist with decision making.

Learning Objectives:

  1. provide an introduction to the preparation of and uses of accounting information for students who intend to major in areas other than accounting;
  2. understanding of accounting to assist with decision making.

Assessment by two class tests (15% each) (30%); examination (70%).
