An analysis of the relationship between trade and industrial development in the Asia-Pacific region, with special reference to regional trade organisations and post-war industrial development. The subject will focus on China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

Learning Objectives:

  1. critical appreciation of the theories, concepts, methods and empirical knowledge used in the field of trade and industry education.

Assessment by group presentation/project (20%); individual project (5,000 words)(40%); three-hour examination or 3,000 word essay (40%).
