This subject studies the strategies and practices used by organisations that excel in introducing product, process and marketing technology innovations. It examines strategic approaches to innovation and technology management in a cross-section of industries nationally and internationally.

Learning Objectives:

  1. critical appreciation of the theories, concepts, methods and empirical knowledge used in process, product and marketing innovation and technology management.

Assessment by group presentation/project (20%); individual project (5,000 words)(40%); three-hour examination or 3,000 word essay (40%).
