Individual Subject for Study

Prerequisites: Permission of Director, Centre for Women's Studies

Flexible delivery first and second semester.

Staff: Any academic member of the Centre for Women’s Studies.

A program of reading, guided study, assessment and consultation relating to a specific area of inquiry in women’s studies. The program of study is designed between a nominated supervisor and the student and approved by the Faculty.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to pursue an area of study of their own choosing in order to develop knowledge in a particular area of women’s studies;
  2. to demonstrate mastery in the area chosen for study.

Assessment is designated by a nominated supervisor and is normally equivalent to a 5,000 - 6,000 word essay or literature review.
