Doctoral Placement

120 hours flexible delivery. First and second semester.

Available to all students enrolled in the Doctor of Public Health.

Staff: Assoc. Professor P Leggat.

Students will be expected to work in their chosen area of specialisation or to arrange an appropriate placement with their Doctor of Public Health supervisor or associate supervisor for a period during their candidature. This placement must be completed to the satisfaction of the Head of the School. The area of specialised placement may include one or more of those listed in TM6007.

Learning Objectives:

  1. gain advanced skills and experience in a work placement environment related to the student’s area of specialisation;
  2. acquire advanced methodologies and knowledge useful for the development of the thesis or project.

Assessment by placement report (70%); attendance/participation (30%).
