Biostatistics for Public Health

This subject introduces students to biostatistics as applied to Public Health. Topics covered include basic probability theory, diagnostic tests, theoretical and empirical distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, graphical display, principle of statistical testing, common bivariate statistical tests, multiple testing, sample size determination and survival analysis.

Assessment by two examinations (additional assignments in external mode).
