Tropical Public Health

This subject introduces the general principles of tropical public health and the basic concepts of health policy, health advocacy, disease control and health promotion. Specific epidemiological discussion included food-borne and soil-transmitted and faecal-borne helminthiasis, together with the control of arthropod-borne diseases. The contribution of public health to improving health is presented, including communicable diseases control, maternal and child health and nutrition.
