Methods of Intervention 1

Available to MPsych or DPsych students or by permission of the course coordinator.

Students will undertake a series of workshops during the semester to provide them with the necessary skills to conduct initial assessments and intervention for children, adolescents and their parents.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to conduct an initial interview with a client;
  2. to write a case report summarising assessment information obtained during an initial interview;
  3. to formulate treatment plans for clients on the basis of information obtained during an initial interview and the appropriate research literature.

Assessment by demonstration of clinical skills and written assignments.
