Photography Practice

Prerequisites: Distinction level in practice-based photography subject and credit level in research-based photography subject and permission of Head of College
Inadmissable Subject Combination: PT4011 PT4021

Contact hours as negotiated with the Head of College through the supervisor. Full year.

Available, at the discretion of the Head of College, to all students with a BPhotog or equivalent qualification undertaking the BPhotog(Hons) practice degree.

This subject is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of practice-based research and to enable them to further develop a highly focussed perception and advanced technical mastery within photography resulting in a body of work for exhibition and critical review.

Learning objectives as for PT4021.

Assessment by presentation of a previously agreed upon body of work leading to a one-person exhibition, presentation or installation in an accredited space or site. The body of work should be accompanied by a professional standard of documentation in the form of a catalogue, statement, invitations and identification of works shown.
