Available to Bachelor of Photography students.

Students completing this subject will learn and explore both theory and practice in the following broad areas of photography: architectural and advertising photography; portraiture and basic fashion photography.

Experimentation while striving for excellence will be encouraged. Students will make use of the most appropriate types of equipment and materials. They will complete advanced colour and black and white processing.

Assessment by two practical assignments (60%); folio of photographs (20%); journal detailing folio conception and progress (10%); tutorial attendance and participation (10%). Late submission of assessment items will attract penalties unless an extension has been granted in writing by the lecturer and work submitted by students with an attendance rate of less than 80% may not be eligible for assessment without prior written approval from the lecturer.
