The earth, the solar system and the Universe; the atmosphere and weather; greenhouse warming; oceans and tides; energy sources; structure and properties of matter — why is it so?

Learning Objectives:

  1. to learn to look at the world and the universe from a physical perspective and to understand the significance of physical principles for everyday life.

Assessment by a two-hour end-of-semester examination; practical work; performance in tutorials; on-course tests.
