Nursing Research A

The subject focuses on the research process, different designs and the main data collection tools. It includes ethical issues related to research. Various qualitative methodologies and the analysis of qualitative data are discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  1. outline the research process and explain the sequence of its components;
  2. discuss different designs and approaches as well as their suitability to nursing research;
  3. describe the main data collection tools and their applicability to nursing research;
  4. determine ethical issues involved when conducting research;
  5. examine and contrast various qualitative research methods.

Assessment by assignment (50%); examination (50%).
