Students will continue to utilise a problem solving process introduced in Foundations of Nursing 1 and will apply this within the clinical setting.

  2. describe the effects of hospitalisation on individuals and suggest strategies to resolve any problems which may occur;

  4. develop and apply the clinical skills needed for assessment and intervention in low dependency adult nursing and care of the elderly;
  5. integrate knowledge from other subjects in applying the skills of clinical decision making and reflective practice;
  6. demonstrate an awareness of the need for research-based clinical practice.
