Ecology of Reef Fishes

An independent study subject involving seminars/workshops and library research. Intensive block mode first or second semester.

Available to DipResMeth, AdvCertResMeth, GDipSc, MAppSc and MSc students.

Staff: Dr G Jones.

This subject reviews current topics in the ecology of coral reef fishes. Topics will include behavioural ecology (habitat selection, foraging, social and mating systems), population biology, the ecology of fish communities and the role of fishes in coral reef ecosystems.

Assessment by seminar and essay.
