Electronics 2

Townsville

Prerequisites: EE2300

39 lectures, 13 tutorials, 26 hours practicals. Second semester.

Available to level 3 engineering and science students.

Tuned amplifiers and oscillators. Power supplies: linear and switched mode. Large signal and power amplifiers (Class A, B, C, D). Feedback, frequency compensation of operational amplifier circuits. Practical operational amplifier circuits. Electronic multipliers and comparators. Planning, managing and implementing an Electronics Design Project.

Learning Objectives:

  1. develop an understanding of the principles and constraints of designing electronic circuits;
  2. develop the capability to design regulated power supplies, oscillators and amplifiers;
  3. plan, manage and implement an electronic design project to meet the milestones, budget and performance specifications.

Assessment by examination (50%-70%); on-course assessment (30%-50%).
