Honours Thesis

Prerequisites: At least Credit level in ED3901 or ED3990

Consultation as required by supervisor. Full year.

Available to final year BEd(Hons) and BEd(Hons)/BPsych students.

Staff: Dr J King (Townsville campus); Dr I Jackson (Cairns campus).

The necessary study and work for the preparation and presentation of a thesis on an educational research problem proposed by the student and approved by the Head of the School of Education.

Learning Objectives:

  1. for the student to conduct a supervised piece of substantive educational research;
  2. or the student to report that research in a thesis written in a style appropriate to the research methodology;
  3. to support each student’s development of, and presentation of a written research thesis related to the student’s chosen field of research interest.

Assessment by examination of a thesis submitted in accordance with the School of Education guidelines.
