Microeconomics

Prerequisites: Permission of Academic Adviser for economics

First and second semester.

Staff:

All candidates are under the general direction of the Head of School.

Candidates must select three topics (each of 4 units) in the general fields of microeconomic theory and policy and microeconometrics. These topics may be studied in a formal lecture/seminar program or as supervised research.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to widen and deepen students’ understanding of microeconomic issues of the day.

The assessment varies according to the choice of topics and may include assignments, formal examinations and research reports. The Head of School prescribes the assessment requirements at the beginning of the candidature.
