Monte Carlo method; maximum likelihood methods; specification testing of restrictions; simulation; dummy dependent, LPD and logit models; probit models.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to provide a sound knowledge of the theory and general application of econometrics software packages to carry out research and analysis.

Assessment by two assignments (30%); end-of-semester formal examination (70%).
