26 hours workshops, 26 hours practicals. Second semester.

Supporting Microsoft Windows Enterprise Technologies: design, implement and support a Windows operating system in a multi-domain enterprise environment; internetworking with Microsoft TCP/IP on Microsoft Windows: set up, configure, use and support of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) on a Windows operating system; creating and managing a Web Site using MS Tools.

Learning Objectives:

  1. design, implement and support a Windows Server operating system in a multi-domain enterprise environment;
  2. set up, configure, use and support Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) on a Windows operating system;
  3. create and manage a Web Site using MS Tools. Includes plan, install, configure and troubleshoot a Microsoft Internet Information Server site.

Students should be able to demonstrate the required capabilities at a level appropriate for postgraduate studies, including analysis and design.

Assessment by tests, practicals, assignments; two group design assignments (weights to be advised in class).
