A coverage of basic statistical concepts used in commerce and economics. This includes descriptive statistics, probability analysis and probability distributions, estimation theory, sampling distributions, tests of hypothesis and correlation and simple regression. All statistical applications are demonstrated using SPSS.

Learning Objectives:

  1. a knowledge of statistical concepts and the application of various statistical techniques;
  2. a knowledge on how to solve problems using SPSS andMicrosoft Excel.
