TABLE IB – SUBJECTS FROM OTHER FACULTIES WHICH MAY BE CREDITED TOWARDS THE BACHELOR DEGREES IN ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
BA/BSocSc Any subject from the Master Schedule of Subjects provided that, in accordance with the Award Requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Arts/Social Sciences, at least 46 units distributed between years as required, will be obtained from Table Ia (BA); Tables Ia and III (BSocSc); provided that students wishing to include subjects of a purely technical or professional nature within the degree obtain the consent of the Executive Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering. Table IV subjects will normally be considered to be technical or professional. NB. The Executive Dean will advise on the suitability of subjects proposed for inclusion in a BA/BSocSc degree by way of Table Ib and may exercise discretion on behalf of the Faculty in regard to Requirement 1.
Institute of Modern Languages – In certain circumstances, and with the prior approval of the Executive Dean, some courses offered by the Institute of Modern Languages may be credited towards degrees.
