26 hours workshops or the equivalent in mixed mode on-campus delivery, negotiated individual contact. Full year.
Staff: Professor R Thorpe (Townsville campus); Ms R Lynn (Cairns campus).
Students will explore an area of specialist interest in first semester and identify a project which they wish to develop in second semester with guidance from a staff person who has a particular interest in that area.
Learning Objectives:
- to develop a social justice approach in an area of specialisation;
- to integrate theory and practice for that particular specialisation;
- to undertake a small independent study and action project.
Assessment by first semester assignment (40%); student developed assessment (60%).
