This subject covers the general principles of public health and basic concepts of hygiene, disease prevention, disease control and health promotion. Specific epidemiological discussion will focus on food, water and soil transmitted diseases including faecal helminthiasis and zoonoses. Epidemiology of malaria, tuberculosis and arboviruses is examined. Addiction studies and occupational health are introduced.
