Dirac formulation of non-relativistic quantum mechanics, second quantisation with application to photons, relativistic quantum mechanics.
Learning Objectives:
- to understand advanced theoretical concepts of quantum mechanics and to be able to solve problems related to these concepts.
Assessment by a three-hour examination (80%); on-course tutorial assignments (20%).
