Nursing management and leadership across the health sector, resource management, negotiation and conflict resolution, managing in a changing environment, planning for change.
Learning Objectives:
- understand the principles of management in the areas of personnel and resource management;
- demonstrate problem-solving in the management arena;
- identify changes necessary in the student’s workplace for effective management of staff and resources.
Assessment by written assignment (2,000 words) (30%); case study (50%); completion of ongoing learning activities (20%).
