Journalism Honours Thesis

Prerequisites: Completion of BJ or equivalent
26 hours group seminars or individual supervision. Full year.
This is the obligatory Honours thesis requiring concentrated scholarship and research on a topic related to the student’s experience in journalism and media studies.
Learning Objectives:
- to acquire deeper and more extensive knowledge of journalism and mass media following on from studies in Journalism at undergraduate level;
- to develop advanced skills of inquiry, analysis and presentation of argument in these fields.
Assessment will be by a panel of examiners selected on the advice of the Head of School and the Director of Postgraduate Studies.
