Available to all students who have completed 16 units of coursework towards their Masters degree.

A sustained review or synthesis of a significant issue related to Indigenous research as approved by the supervisor in consultation with the Head of School. Small-scale original research (including replication study) may be conducted but is not required. Skills of analysis and synthesis and appropriate theoretical and methodological application are expected of the order appropriate to a higher degree. A dissertation is normally supervised by an academic staff member of the School on approval of the Head of School.
Learning Objectives:
- demonstrate understanding and mastery of a disciplinary area of Indigenous research with the scholarly expectations of a higher degree.
The dissertation of approximately 10,000 words is assessed by two examiners (excluding the supervisor) and approved by the Executive Dean on the recommendation of the supervisor and the Head of School.
