Individual Study/Project

First and/or second semester.

Available to all students enrolled in the Master of Indigenous Studies.

Staff: Dr S McGinty.

An individual subject for study as approved by the Faculty on recommendation of the Director of Research and advice from the Head of School. This subject allows for independent work in an area of Indigenous research of the student’s own choosing. In consultation with the Director of Research, a program of reading, guided study and conference relating to the specialised area, is designed to cater for individual student needs and projects. Outlines for proposals for individual projects should be submitted to the Director of Research for transmission to the Faculty for approval, within two weeks of the commencement of the semester.

Learning Objectives:

  1. an in-depth understanding and expertise in an area of Indigenous research of interest to the individual student.

Assessment to be negotiated between the Director of Research and the student.
