This subject follows on from Television 1 and is designed to provide students with practical experience in multi-camera studio production. It also involves liaising with community clients, the selection of suitable creative material, research, scripting, preproduction, location production, editing and presenting the program to the client audience.
Learning Objectives:
- the ability to conduct negotiations with community clients and identify production needs.;
- the ability to isolate an idea or issue and undertake the research necessary to convert the material into a producible form;
- the ability to undertake the necessary production management activities to ensure the production is possible;
- the ability to undertake practical single camera location production;
- the ability to undertake appropriate post production;
- the ability to present a production to a community client.
Assessment by on-campus written/video assignment (40%); on-campus worksheets and practicals (20%); off-campus assignment (20%); attendance and participation (20%).
