Indigenous Australian Worldviews 2

This subject examines the evolvement and adaptation of Indigenous Australian Worldviews to a changing Australia. It describes and analyses emerging perspectives, knowledges and interpretations of Indigenous Australians in the gaining of two sets of Worldviews.

Learning Objectives:

  1. gain an increased understanding of the Worldviews of Indigenous Australians;
  2. recognise and develop an understanding of the evolvement of Indigenous Australian knowledges, perspectives and interpretations and how these are expressed;
  3. further develop skills for critically analysing and responding to the representations of Indigenous Australians in a variety of sources and materials.

Assessment by attendance and participation (10%); tutorial presentation (25%); essay (40%); and examination (25%).
