This subject is only offered when there is sufficient student interest in a topic and the required resources are available.

Topics to be selected from mathematical software, social impact of computing, logic programming, theory of programming languages, compiler design, computer networks.

Learning Objectives:

  1. students will obtain in-depth knowledge of the selected topic(s).

Assessment in this subject involves significant on-course assessment including assignments and tests and an examination at the end of the semester. The full details of the assessment are handed out to students in the class in the first week of the semester in which the subject is offered and posted on the Web.
