Available to all students with 3 units of level 1 subjects. This subject, together with other CN subjects and VA1012, can form part of a 3-level strand in cinema studies. The lecturer in this subject should be consulted for further details.

A selection of literary works and of the films that were drawn from them.
Learning Objectives:
- an understanding of the working of certain literary and filmic conventions such as narration, description and characterisation.
Assessment by minor weekly assignments (40%); workshop participation (20%); major assignment (40%).
