Industrial Chemistry Project

78 hours practicals. Full year.

Staff: Dr G Griffin.

A research project of interest to the School and local industry will be carried out with the approval of the Head of School.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to provide students with an opportunity to develop skills in experimentation and research methodology including formulation of objectives, execution of the project and presentation of results;
  2. to develop technical communication skills, both oral and written.

Assessment by written report (60%); presentation of results in a seminar (10%); a supervisor’s report on laboratory performance (30%).
