This subject provides an understanding of the critical social, political and ethical content of business decisions and emphasises that business takes place in a context that is not completely economic in nature. Topics include: ethical theory, business/government relations, cross-cultural ethics and the societal context of business.

Learning Objectives:

  1. critical knowledge and application of the theories, concepts and constructs of business in a social environment.

Assessment by group debate (30%); paper/service project (30%); two examinations (40%).
