This subject will develop and extend student knowledge in the area of plant propagation and revegetation with special emphasis on pasture ecology, agronomy and management in tropical ecosystems. Students will be expected to attend BT3320 lectures, practicals, field trips and additional classes.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to gain an understanding of the theory and practice of plant propagation with special relevance to tropical pastures;
  2. to address issues in plant selection, introduction and cultivar development;
  3. to identify the impact of grazing animals and other environmental variables on pastoral production.

Assessment by examination and/or written assignment and field project.
