This is a flexible degree introduced to meet the job market’s increasing needs for computing graduates. The degree provides a sound Computer Science training, combined with a significant amount of study in some other discipline.
The strands offered in this degree are Computing Technology and Geographic Information Systems in Townsville, Business Computing in Townsville and Cairns.
Following the review of Information Technology and the possible introduction of new IT degrees, there may be expansions in the subject offerings. It is possible that the existing Bachelor of Computing and Bachelor of Information Technology degrees will be renamed and new Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Applied Information Technology degrees introduced.
