This subject introduces students to models, theories and methods of rural social policy, social planning, welfare services provision, social development and welfare practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. understanding of rural social and welfare issues;
  2. ability to critically analyse rural social policy and welfare issues;
  3. increased understanding of rural welfare practice issues.

Assessment by one essay (3,000 words) (100%).
